Would've Been Her 75th Birthday: Sept. 17

What Is It?

Looked out the kitchen window early this evening & saw this huge bird (a predator?) eating some poor, unfortunate varmint while perched on the wood pile. One of our little wild rabbits was found dead yesterday by Dad which was probably his snack. Anyway, I'm no 'birdie,' but I think it's either a some sort of hawk or falcon. I watched him through binoculars & snapped pictures from the window for about ten minutes. Dad has seen him in flight, & keeps a close eye on little Scout when outside.

Better Late Than Never

This is the new L.L. Bean raincoat that I ordered, for my birthday. It came today just in time for heavy rains forecast for tomorrow. I should look like the Morton Salt girl in this bright yellow!

The beautiful casserole dish is from S & B for my birthday. It's perfect for my kitchen. -- The OU bag is from my co-workers. Can't wait to take it to a game. -- Made the Halloween wall hanging last week when I got an urge to do some sewing. It's from a t-shirt.
