We went to see the movie "Australia" the other night. I loved it. Great movie.

Sugar's Surprise Party

Believe it or not, all of us were able to keep the party a secret and actually (I think) surprised Sugar. Hopefully, she & everyone had a good time. THANKS, EVERYBODY, FOR COMING!

Christmas '08

We're having a very merry Christmas. We went to PaPaw's for Christmas eve, & he & Sugar spent the night with us. Dad & I slept on the air mattresses in the living room. It was like camping out! We opened gifts after Brett got up. He wasn't up at the crack of dawn like the rest of us! I fixed a turkey & all the usual trimmings for dinner (including cranberries for Sarah). We all either dozed or took full-blown naps this afternoon. PaPaw & I watched Bing Crosby & Rosemary Clooney in "White Christmas." I love that movie! PaPaw just left for home, and we're now getting ready for "turkey

round #2" -- leftovers! We miss you

SUNRISE, not sunset!!!!!!!!!!

Look at This!

I took these pictures about 18 minutes ago when Dad called to alert me to a 'beautiful sunset.' It's 13 degrees this morning, so I didn't stay outside on the front porch too long to take these photos.

Christmas Decorations

Our tree and some of my favorite seasonal decorations. The tree is such a chore to put up (& take down) each year, but I can't imagine not using it. I LOVE all the mismatched, old ornaments. Believe it or not, I left off about a hundred ornaments this year!

Here are a few dozen pictures of PaPaw's Christmas display. Dad helped him shore up the shed for the manger scene. I told him it is getting so old & beat up that it's looking like the 'original' !

We took Sugar for a tour of a retirement place today, which is where one of her sisters lives. It's a really nice place -- just like an upscale hotel!

Another beautiful sunset last night. We're supposed to be getting some wintry weather early next week, & the wind has been ferocious.

The BOK Center

Yesterday we went to the TU/OU men's basketball game at the brand new BOK Center. The game was a blowout because the Sooners led by about 20-25 points the whole game, but it's a neat place, & we had a great time. Oh.....a funny thing happened while we were there: at the beginning of the national anthem, a squirrel ran loose all over the floor!!! Because of the design of the building, birds & animals can just walk/fly right in.
