Doing Our Part to Stimulate the Economy
As good Americans, doing what we can to help stimulate the U.S. economy, we went out & made a few purchases this morning. We found the Tulsa coffee cup at Starbucks in Barnes & Noble (also talked w/BR while there). Dad (finally) got himself a set of new golf clubs, & I picked up a Columbia blouse (on sale, of course) and new, upgraded binoculars for the OU games. All of this was a completely unselfish, sacrificial, altruistic act by us to SAVE THE ECONOMY!

Good News Bad News
Last night when I went to pick the garden, there was 'good news,' and there was 'bad news.' The good news was I found this one, lone pumpkin. And I found a nice, big zucchini. The bad news, though, was the hundreds of bugs (aphids?) I found on a couple of the small yellow squash and a zucchini. Since we've had lots of good zucchini this summer, Dad decided it was time to get rid of the squash plants. So sad........JPG)

Our Mini-Vacation/30th Anniversary Celebration
Dad & I took a short trip to...B'ville, of all places! It was kind of a belated celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary. Anyway we stayed at the Price Tower, the famous Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building. It was awesome! It's one of those places I've driven by for years and never really cared much about it. And I never thought I would find that sort of building & furniture design very appealing, but it's so cool. After spending the night in our room with a million windows, that all open out, we went to the museum/art gallery & took a guided tour this morning. Here are a few pics. I'll be glad to tell anyone who's willing to listen everything I can about this building!!
