We had a great day at Steve & Barbie's. My "Derby Pie" was a hit with everyone. It's a traditional pecan pie filling with chocolate chips on the bottom! We gave Drew his birthday gifts: a book, a Gap sweater, and a pint-sized Texas Longhorns mug. I think he liked the mug the best -- much to my chagrine! I was glad PaPaw spent the day with us. Afterwards we put up all of Sugar's Christmas trees and decorations. All in all, it was a very nice day.

Your pies look yummy. I was thinking of attempting one for our potluck this Sunday. Thanks for posting pics of the day. I missed being with you guys. I love you.
